Hi, I'm a film historian from Bremen, Germany. This is my private website. I'm mainly interested in the history of German film in the period after the First World War. Coming soon is the book version of my dissertation on the making of THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. Currently, I'm working as a freelance writer, editor, and lecturer for organizations such as the German film institute, Frankfurt, CineGraph, Hamburg, and the Deutsche Kinemathek, Berlin. I'm also teaching film history und analysis, and writing comic books. Earlier, I have been an editor for filmportal. I have studied philosophy and German language & literature at University Bremen.
